Black powder revolver question
I'm looking at an 1851 Colt .44 reproduction revolver. Should I use ffg or fffg? I think that ffffg might be too fine. Am I wrong?
Re: Black powder revolver question
For a revolver use FFFG, same with small bore rifle. Bigger bore rifle or musket most people use FFG.
Look at a LeMat. It's is a 9 shot .44 with a 2nd barrel that is a 20ga smoothbore.

I shoot 30gr fffg with a round ball in my .44 1858 repo...comes out about like a 38 special...I use 30 because that is the spout that came with my flask and it works.
