Just think...20 years ago most of us were sitting in a bunker somewhere, clutching a rusty mosin waiting for the power to go out.

A rusty mosin, corroded ammo AND expired MREs!

I also had a can of peaches in heavy syrup.

Happy New Year, you old farts!

Here's to a 2020 with no rust on the firearms!

On New Years Day, 2000, I had enough hardware (half a dozen handguns and two dozen long arms) and ammo to re-capture Saigon and 114 five gallon buckets of vacuum packed food. I had over 100 steel Chinese 30 round mags just for my several 7.62mm AK's. That isn't counting drums. I had about as many AR mags and more HK91/G3 mags than I could carry. I had a .50BMG rifle. At any given moment I had over 75,000 rounds of ammo. The inventory of other survivalist supplies I had was vast.

Perspectives and priorities change, you have to adapt.

Now I have a 12ga Mossberg 20" 'tactical turkey' pump and a .357mag revolver. The pump shotgun breaks down fast and is stored in a tennis racket bag.

For a survival backup system I have a gym bag with a disassembled, break action, single shot H&R Handi-Rifle with various rifle and shotgun barrels plus adapters in a variety of calibers.

The wife has a Ruger SR-22 handgun, the only firearm she has ever found true zen with.

The only other 'gun' I have is an air rifle. It is probably the bulkiest thing I currently own.

Any more I do not buy or store anything I can't quickly toss into a vehicle or sailboat and discretely bug out with. I don't even have desktop computers anymore.

Mike, did you have an offering on minion? I'll kick my own butt if I missed it!

Are you still on MeWe? Is anyone else besides me?

No, all of the guns were sold locally. Many were to local friends who had said over the years, "If you ever sell that ........."

After a couple of moves that needed so much manpower that a forklift would have come in handy, I seriously started to re-assess the situation and my plans.

I'm still on MeWe but I've been busy.
